Renaissance One School of Humanities strives to crystallize the school and family stakeholder dynamic by developing opportunities to increase engagement. In accordance with the Overlapping Spheres of Influence Theory (1995), Dr. Joyce Epstein posits that since the child serves as the central focus in the educational atmosphere; the school nor family stakeholder should work in silos. Rather, when supporting and extending resources to our students, stakeholders are encouraged to collaborate to close the achievement gap. At Renaissance One, the efforts implemented to sustain the school-family partnership involve the following program types to push parental engagement:
Homeroom Parent
Activity Planning
School committee member
Attendance Review Committee
-
School Safety Team
b. Title I
c. Academic and Intervention Meetings
Back-to-School Night
Report Card Nights
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
